Andalusian Mares - Spanish/Portugese

These mares are IALHA purebreds, of Spanish/Portuguese descent.  IALHA recognizes horses from Pure Spanish descent(PRE/ANCEE) and horses from Pure Portuguese descent (PSL/APSL) as purebreds of the same breed within their registry, despite the fact that ANCEE and APSL split and have had different stud books for many years.  So these mares have a combination of the Spanish Andalusian and the Portuguese Lusitano bloodlines.  This cross has actually proved to be one of my favorite to date.  I have found the Portuguese bloodlines are a bit hotter, more sensitive, and highly curious, where I have found the Spanish bloodlines to be a touch mellower, and bolder.  The cross between the two bloodlines has resulted in a highly athletic horse with an amazing work ethic, that is easy to train, sensitive to pressure, brave, and so incredibly versatile.  I have to say these horses are some of my favorites!

Partbred Andalusian Mares

These horses are a special branch off my purebred program.  The purpose of this section of my program is to breed high quality, high percentage Andalusian COLORFUL babies!  I am a lover of the overo color, especially when it comes with blue eyes! While I don't always get lucky and get the overo color, these mares have consistently produced phenomenal foals that have turned into spectacular, talented riding horses even if they come out solid.  They are exceptional horses that add so much to my program.  Many of these girls are also proven as excellent riding horses as well.  They are all in various stages of training, ranging from just started to WELL broke!  They are regularly given years off as well, and the more seasoned girls double as lesson horses on their years off of breeding!
